My second entry for the Marilyn Monroe Challenge on Instagram: A few weeks ago I noticed this blue towel at a friend’s private pool party, late at night, and an idea flashed through my mind.
I thought I would do a tribute to the stunning image of Marilyn by Lawrence Schiller, from the unfinished movie “Something’s Got To Give” (1962).
I had to go from memory, so the pose isn’t exactly right, but I hope I capture the spirit of that incredible, joyful, yet ultimately tragic photo. Marilyn was found dead at 36 a few months later.
